CapzView (“CapzView,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a browser-based private Instagram viewer and related research tools, including a public Instagram viewer, private Instagram story viewer, and private Instagram followers / following viewer. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you visit capzview.com or use our tools.
We designed CapzView so you do not need to share your Instagram password. If any third-party page ever asks for Instagram credentials while claiming to be CapzView, stop and contact us.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Instagram usernames or handles you enter into CapzView tools (for example on /viewer, /public-viewer, /story-viewer, or /followers-viewer).
- Support messages you send to [email protected], including your email address and the content of your request.
- Optional contact details if you include them in a support thread.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps.
- Approximate location derived from IP address at a city/region level where available.
- Cookie or local storage identifiers needed for basic site functionality, preferences, or analytics (if enabled).
2.3 Information we do not collect
- Your Instagram password.
- Your Instagram Direct Messages.
- Payment card data on CapzView marketing pages (any checkout experiences, if introduced, would be handled by a listed payment provider under their terms).
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate CapzView tools, including sending username lookups to our server-side API integration so Public mode can return available profile and post data.
- Run Private mode confirmation and unlock continuation flows.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, debug outages, and improve performance.
- Respond to support requests and policy questions.
- Understand aggregate traffic patterns so we can improve navigation, SEO content, and feature clarity.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
4. API lookups and third-party processors
When you submit a username in Public mode, CapzView’s server may query a third-party Instagram data API provider to retrieve available public profile information and posts. That request necessarily includes the username you entered and standard technical request metadata.
We select processors that help us deliver CapzView functionality (hosting, DNS, security, API data, email). Those processors may process data on our behalf under contractual or policy restrictions. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
CapzView may use cookies or local storage to keep basic preferences, maintain session continuity for tool flows, and measure page performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some site features.
6. Data retention
Support emails are retained as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain business records. Server logs are retained for a limited operational period unless a longer period is required for security investigations or legal compliance. Username lookups are processed to fulfill your request; we do not build public people-search dossiers for sale.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to a web research tool. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use CapzView on trusted devices and networks.
8. Children’s privacy
CapzView is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact [email protected] so we can delete it.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to verify and respond. You may also:
- Stop using CapzView tools at any time.
- Avoid submitting usernames you do not want processed.

10. International visitors
CapzView may be accessed globally. If you access the site from outside the country where our servers or processors operate, your information may be transferred across borders to provide the service.
