Stories & privacy
Who can see Instagram stories?
Stories last 24 hours (unless saved to highlights). Visibility follows the account’s privacy setting.
Public accounts: active stories are generally viewable without following. CapzView Public mode helps you confirm the profile first.
Private accounts: stories are for approved followers. In Instagram, tap Follow, wait for acceptance, then open their story ring. Until they accept, private stories stay hidden.
CapzView’s Private mode on this page continues our unlock flow. It is not a substitute for Instagram’s follower permission when you need official private story access.
